In 2014 Stirling – with the assistance of the National Lotto Distribution Fund – built a high-quality Music Centre, which combines teaching venues with an excellent performance Auditorium where acoustics are paramount. The design is based upon the architecture of some of the leading music venues in Europe, with a performance space that offers size but retains intimacy, and a building that focuses on bringing together teaching and performance in an overlapping space.

The Music Centre contains an auditorium that suits quality music performance on the broad Classical/Jazz spectrum, six individual music classrooms, a big teaching venue/Green Room, practice rooms and amenities. The Centre is easily accessible to the public and is located at the entrance to the school.

The Auditorium is fully equipped with everything needed for professional performance: new Kawai G7 grand piano, full backline, d&b sound system, lighting rig and all other performance requirements. The venue comfortably seats 350, but the intimacy of the design means that it still feels well-occupied with small audiences.
