In the later years he did many broadcasts of classical music on the old English service and also light programmes on Saturday mornings – The “Piano Playtime” series.   His big break through was joining Rollo Scott in “Over the Rainbow” on Saturday nights.  He and Bruce worked together for 12 years producing over 600 different shows.
